🍕❤️ PIZZA PARTY IN PRE-K! ❤️🍕
Mrs. Nichols’ Pre-K class had a pizza-rific day! 🍕🎉 This week, they’ve been learning all about the letter P and exploring different shapes while our literacy lessons have been centered around the book Pizza at Sally’s! Today, they brought all that learning together for a fun-filled Pizza Party! 🥳 Our little learners made their own shape pizzas, explored different pizza-flavored snacks, and enjoyed reading Pete the Cat and the Perfect Pizza Party! 📚🍕 Most importantly, they made meaningful connections between the books they’ve been reading and the hands-on activities they were doing!
From recognizing shapes and practicing the letter P to building vocabulary, strengthening literacy skills, and learning through play, our friends were making connections every step of the way! ❤️
Learning is always more meaningful when little hands are busy, little minds are growing, and learning is FUN! 🥹🍕 Mrs. Nichols is so proud of these little learners and all the connections they are making!

The class investigated a real pumpkin by measuring it, making predictions, and counting seeds! They then created a foaming pumpkin volcano using baking soda and vinegar, and finished the day by making pumpkin slime with the leftover pulp! 🧪🎃

Our 7th–12th grade students wanted to show their appreciation to Ms. Thompson for organizing an amazing college fair for our students! They surprised her with a thank-you poster to let her know just how much her hard work means to them.
Ms. Thompson deserves a huge thank you for everything she is doing for our students and all the wonderful things she has already brought to our school. We are so thankful to have her making a difference in the lives of our students! ❤️

🦋 Monarch Butterfly Tagging at Hackberry Flats! 🦋
Our 4th graders had an amazing hands-on learning experience at Hackberry Flats Wildlife Management Area as they helped tag monarch butterflies! 🌿🦋

Yesterday, we had an amazing Career Day as part of our Career & College Week! We were so thankful to welcome 13 wonderful community members who took time out of their day to come speak with our students about their careers and the many opportunities available to them in the future.
Our high school students had the opportunity to walk around and visit with each of our guests, while our elementary students also got to come through and learn about the different careers represented.
Our students heard about careers in college, nursing, the Army, Navy, banking, ranching, and so much more! 🏦🐄🎓
We are incredibly grateful to each person who came and invested their time in our students. You never know when a simple conversation can spark a dream and inspire a future career! ❤️

Our 9th–12th grade students had a great start to College App Week!
Ann Thaxton from Oklahoma Money Matters visited with our students and led an engaging activity while sharing valuable information about different pathways after high school and important financial information to help prepare them for their futures. 💰🎓
Ty from OSU-IT also met with our junior and senior classes to share information about programs, opportunities, and what OSU-IT has to offer.
We’re thankful to both of them for taking the time to invest in our students and help them explore the many possibilities available after high school!

Animal Adaptations in First Grade! 🐾🦨
First graders learned about the amazing ways animals protect themselves and then created their own animal projects to present! From claws and shells to quills, stingers, and unique defenses, students had so much fun sharing what they learned.

First graders had a blast learning with slime this week! They practiced using adjectives to describe their slime and wrote about what they saw and felt. ✏️
They then worked on sequencing by writing the steps for how to make slime. On the final day, they compared and contrasted two different slimes, identifying how they were alike and different! 🔍

Seniors: This is the time to order your caps & gowns, senior products, jewelry, and other graduation items.
10th & 11th Grade: You can order your class rings, letter jackets, jewelry, and other Jostens products.
📅 Jostens will be at Chattanooga High School on October 22 for in-person orders. If you need to be sized for a class ring or letter jacket, they can take care of that while they are here and answer any questions about deposits and payment options.
⭐ Important pricing information: October 23 is not a final deadline to order. It is simply the date to receive the best available pricing. Orders can still be placed after October 23, but prices may increase as graduation gets closer.
💳 Payment plans are available! Letter jackets and jewelry do not have to be paid for in full upfront. A $150 deposit is required to get a letter jacket started, and payment plans are available for the remaining balance.
