🍫📊 First Grade Learning Can Be SWEET! 🎉
Last week, our first graders learned all about different types of graphs and how to create their own graphs to organize and display information. Of course, they had to make learning a little more fun… so they used M&M’s! 🍫🌈
Students sorted their M&M’s, counted each color, and created their own graphs to show their data. They had so much fun learning about sorting, counting, comparing, and representing data, and yes, they got to enjoy a little treat along the way! 💕📚

This morning, our 6th graders did an AMAZING job performing as we continued our monthly theme, “The Roots of Our Community.” 🎶
We had the privilege of recognizing special members of our Chattanooga Public School community who have been a part of our school and have gone on to make a difference in our community. It was so special to hear from them, recognize their accomplishments, and celebrate the lasting impact they have made.

6th Grade attended the 1st Annual Comanche County Youth Summit at the FISTA center in Lawton.
The summit was an idea created by many students from Comanche County schools. These youth volunteers wanted to create a program that they thought would have been beneficial for them when they were in 6th grade. With help, these students held the summit for area 6th graders to attend to learn about managing emotions, self-care, goal setting, managing conflict and many other workshops. Our 6th graders spent the day focusing on their futures, their goals, their health and the choices they make everyday. They learned a lot, made new friends, and even had time for some sack races, art work, dance and Tai Chi. Our 6th Graders are ready to "Level Up" with their future and be the best they can be.

🦋 Monarch Butterfly Study — October 7! 🦋
Our 4th graders will be heading to Hackberry Flat Wildlife Wetland Reserve for a hands-on learning experience all about monarch butterflies! 🌿
Students will learn about the butterfly life cycle and monarch migration while tagging monarchs, collecting data, and safely releasing the butterflies back into the wild. They’ll also be putting their creativity to work by coloring and studying butterfly life-cycle activities in the classroom. 🎨🦋
We’re excited for our students to learn about these amazing pollinators while getting to experience science outside the classroom! 🌎💚

💛 Suicide Prevention Awareness Walk 💛
Our students in grades 4–12, along with parents, staff, and members of our community, came together for a meaningful Suicide Prevention Awareness Walk.
Today was about raising awareness, showing support, breaking the stigma, and reminding one another that no one has to face difficult times alone. 💛
Thank you to everyone who participated and helped make this an important moment for our school and community.
Together, we can spread hope, kindness, and support. 💛

This hands-on experience has been such a fun way to strengthen letter recognition, sounds, vocabulary, and make meaningful connections to their learning! We love seeing our PreK students excited to learn, and even more excited to EAT their learning! 😋
